Summary

Senior Systems Engineer responsible for managing and automating enterprise Linux/Unix systems across VMware on-prem and hybrid environments in a regulated banking setting. Will develop and maintain Puppet automation modules for server provisioning, patching, and application deployment; administer vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter infrastructure; and ensure security hardening, compliance (SOX, FFIEC), and high availability for mission-critical applications. Acts as L2/L3 resource for incident management, root-cause analysis, and operational stability, with scripting in Bash and Python to reduce manual recovery efforts.
