SQA Engineer I

Summary

SQA Engineer I will plan, design, document, and execute system-level testing for each release cycle, following Cohu's software development process and requirements. The role involves creating and maintaining C#-based test automation scripts, performing manual and automated testing on production-representative equipment, and identifying/documenting software defects in Jira with clear evidence and reproducible steps. The engineer will collaborate with development teams to triage and verify fixes, extract and analyze release data using SQL, and communicate quality metrics and risk to stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes mentoring SQA Technicians, evaluating testing practices for improvement, and leveraging AI tools responsibly to enhance test efficiency.
