Software Engineer

Summary

Build and own the software layer connecting Fabric8Labs' electrochemical 3D printers to operators and business systems. Design PostgreSQL schemas and write Python backend services that interact with printers and edge devices in real time, build production dashboards and operator interfaces, and create integrations between shop-floor systems and ERP for work order flow, material tracking, and production reporting. You'll work hands-on with hardware engineers, materials scientists, and operators to solve manufacturing workflow problems with direct, immediate feedback. The role requires 4+ years shipping production software, strong Python and PostgreSQL expertise, Linux proficiency, and JavaScript for UI—with a focus on understanding customer needs and building reliable, traceable systems.
