Principal Software Engineer

Summary

Lead the design and implementation of AI-assisted HR systems at ServiceNow, owning agentic workflows, evaluation infrastructure, and production safety mechanisms for large-language-model-powered employee-relations features. You will author and refine prompts and agent instructions, build multi-turn evaluation suites with drift detection and CI gating, and ensure entitlement-aware data handling across retrieval and tool layers. Collaborate across product and engineering to translate business requirements into robust technical designs, and drive hands-on integration, migration, and incident resolution on customer-facing systems. Requires 10+ years of software engineering with direct production LLM experience, orchestration migrations, system design rigor, and proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
