Network Administrator (Network Communications 5)

Summary

The Network Administrator will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN), supporting multiple networks across different classification levels. Responsibilities include managing routers, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits, VoIP devices, and cryptographic configurations; coordinating with Navy, DISA, and commercial providers; maintaining Information Assurance compliance; and providing helpdesk support from the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). The role requires hands-on expertise in network hardware, software interconnection, and troubleshooting of network failures at remote sites.
