Metrology Software Engineer

Summary

Design, develop, and maintain software tools that interface with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and metrology equipment in advanced fabrication environments. Integrate CMM systems with databases, MES, PLM, and ERP platforms; develop automation routines, reporting dashboards, and data visualization tools for inspection workflows. Troubleshoot metrology software issues, support validation and testing, and provide technical training to engineers and technicians. Requires 5–10 years of experience with hands-on CMM knowledge, proficiency in languages like C#, C++, or Python, and strong understanding of GD&T and measurement data structures.
