The ISSO will maintain operational security posture for assigned information systems and networks, serving as principal technical advisor on cybersecurity policies, directives, and Information Assurance procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of IS resources; managing Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authorization to Connect (ATC) compliance; conducting cybersecurity assessments and audits; developing security documentation including Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M); and providing subject matter expertise on RMF compliance and risk management.… The role requires 5 years of information systems management and cybersecurity experience, proficiency in firewall administration, intrusion detection systems, and encryption, plus an active DoD 8140/8570.01-M baseline certification at IAM Level II or higher.
