The Network Engineer IV delivers advanced tactical network engineering, integration, and sustainment for Navy carrier training systems within the CANES architecture. The role involves maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting shipboard network hardware and software, supporting NIWC Pacific and fleet operations during training exercises and deployment workups. Key responsibilities include system sustainment, afloat technical support, cybersecurity compliance (RMF, STIG, Zero Trust), and automated testing. The engineer must hold or obtain a Secret clearance, possess CCNA/CCNP and Security+ certifications, and have 3–5 years of network engineering experience with Navy tactical networks (NIPR/SIPR/CANES).

This role provides hands-on technical support to the Global Command and Control Systems – Maritime (GCCS-M) Product Support Team, resolving complex help desk tickets, conducting rapid-response troubleshooting on USS Naval Vessels, and leading installations of GCCS-M baselines to the Fleet. You will administer diverse C4I environments (RHEL/Unix/Linux/Windows), manage casualty reports in Helix, and travel 25–40% to CONUS and OCONUS locations for on-site system configuration and maintenance. Experience with Linux, Windows Server, VMware virtualization, network administration, and C4I systems (including Link 11 and related peripherals) is expected. You must hold an active Secret clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification.
