Network Engineer supporting the Global Sustainment Contract at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, responsible for engineering, configuring, and sustaining advanced networking equipment (Juniper, Aruba, Cisco, Antaira, Cambium) across Navy installations worldwide. The role encompasses end-to-end system lifecycle support including staging, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment; deployment and troubleshooting in labs, shore facilities, and data centers; and implementation of secure network architectures aligned with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Requires 8 years of network engineering experience, active DoD Secret clearance, and DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (Security+ CE minimum or higher such as CISSP or CASP+), with hands-on expertise in Juniper (Junos OS, EX/QFX/SRX), Aruba (ArubaOS, Instant AP, Aruba Central), Cisco (Catalyst, ISR, ASA, Firepower), and core networking technologies including Layer 2, routing protocols (Static, OSPF, BGP), VPNs (IPSec), ACLs, and firewalls.

Senior Network Specialist will install, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and Internet systems for a large DOD program. Responsibilities include routine testing and analysis of network facilities, monitoring network availability, troubleshooting performance issues, and performing maintenance. Requires 6–10 years of networking experience (depending on education level), hands-on expertise with Cisco routers and switches, IPv6 and Layer 3 protocol knowledge, and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.

This is a senior-level IT support role handling escalated complex technical issues across remote and onsite client environments. The Client Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-layer problems spanning M365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID), macOS support, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), and generative AI platforms, while traveling to client sites in the metro area as needed. The role requires strong technical depth, independent judgment, excellent client-facing communication skills, and the ability to quickly assess scope and determine whether issues require remote or onsite resolution. A valid driver's license and comfort working in ambiguous situations across both remote and field settings are essential.

The Network Specialist provides operational support for DoD Defense Health Agency LAN/WAN infrastructure at Naval Medical Center San Diego, including daily troubleshooting of core and edge switches, resolving network and routing protocol issues across all OSI layers, and supporting routing, switching, firewall, and cabling equipment. The role requires expertise in TCP/IP, routing protocols, firewall/VPN technologies, and hands-on maintenance of LAN/WAN systems. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus 3 years of experience (or equivalent vocational certification plus 8 years), an active Secret clearance or higher, and Security+ CE certification with current CCNA or equivalent.
