The Senior Systems Administrator designs, implements, and maintains enterprise IT infrastructure across cloud, endpoint, identity, server, and collaboration platforms. Responsibilities include administering Windows, Linux, and macOS systems; managing Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and endpoint platforms like Intune and JAMF; optimizing system performance and reliability; and developing automation scripts. This role requires 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, advanced knowledge of Microsoft identity and collaboration services, and acts as a technical lead for infrastructure projects while mentoring junior administrators.

This is a senior-level IT support role handling escalated complex technical issues across remote and onsite client environments. The Client Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-layer problems spanning M365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID), macOS support, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), and generative AI platforms, while traveling to client sites in the metro area as needed. The role requires strong technical depth, independent judgment, excellent client-facing communication skills, and the ability to quickly assess scope and determine whether issues require remote or onsite resolution. A valid driver's license and comfort working in ambiguous situations across both remote and field settings are essential.

Design, implement, and maintain secure DevSecOps automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines across hybrid infrastructure, cloud, and application platforms. Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell, and Python to automate provisioning, configuration management, patching, and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, VMware, and Azure environments. Integrate security controls into deployment pipelines including vulnerability scanning, secrets detection, code scanning, and policy enforcement aligned with FFIEC, NCUA, CIS, and NIST standards. Partner across Infrastructure, Security, and Application Development teams to advance DevSecOps practices, container engineering, and secure cloud governance.

GEM Team seeks a fractional Network & Systems Administrator (1099, 3–4 days/week) to manage network, server, cloud, and security infrastructure for a financial services organization in San Diego. The role involves administering Cisco Catalyst, Meraki SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Windows Server; troubleshooting across multiple locations; and partnering with IT leadership on infrastructure initiatives. Required: 5+ years of network/systems/infrastructure administration experience, strong hands-on expertise in Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft identity and server platforms, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals. Preferred: financial services or regulated-industry experience and familiarity with Check Point Avanan and Arctic Wolf.
