Vulnerability Management Specialist

Summary

As a Vulnerability Management Specialist, you will validate, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities across AppFolio's SaaS applications and infrastructure to improve security posture. You'll respond to emerging threats including 0-day vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with vulnerability management policies, and leverage AI/ML and automation to streamline the end-to-end process. The role requires 2–5 years of cybersecurity experience (preferably in vulnerability management, penetration testing, or incident response), hands-on expertise with tools like DefectDojo, Invicti, Wiz, or Cycode, and the ability to write scripts in Ruby or Python. You'll assess security risks using frameworks like CVSS, communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and maintain structured oversight of multiple simultaneous vulnerabilities.
