Virtual Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

This role involves architecting, deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware virtualized infrastructure—including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation—for a U.S. Navy enterprise IT environment. The engineer will design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, manage infrastructure upgrades and patching, monitor system health, and troubleshoot complex virtualization issues across Windows Server environments. The position requires 6+ years of VMware experience, 6+ years with vSphere/vCenter/vSAN, 2+ years of PowerShell scripting, and proficiency in network and storage virtualization. A Secret clearance is required, along with a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) within 30 days of hire.
