Software Installation Engineer

Summary

The Software Installation Engineer conducts onsite software installations and system configurations at customer facilities, performing data migrations, system verifications, and testing across project iterations. The role requires hands-on expertise in Linux administration, networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), infrastructure-as-code tools, and security frameworks, with responsibility for troubleshooting, quality control implementation, and project documentation. This individual will travel to customer sites to support installations, coordinate with project teams, and maintain compliance with security standards (RMF, STIGs, NIST controls).
