Software Engineer III

Summary

Software Engineer III will provide on-site development and support for the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Family of Systems, including refactoring legacy Java/JavaScript code, building modular and reusable components, and orchestrating integration of competing software branches. The role requires 5+ years of professional experience in software development or computer networks, 2+ years in systems or software engineering, and proficiency with Java, C, C++, scripting languages (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash), virtualization platforms (VMware vCenter), and DevOps tooling (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory). Responsibilities include researching and implementing system integrations, troubleshooting existing code, designing new systems, and recommending innovative features. Security+ certification is required within 6 months of hire, and the role demands ability to analyze specifications, ensure code quality, and work across the full SDLC.
