Software Engineer II

Summary

Software Engineer II will design and develop embedded software for Genalyte's Merlin photonic diagnostic platform, a medical device requiring adherence to FDA/medical device software standards. The role involves developing embedded software components, creating software tools for testing and integration, executing test protocols, and troubleshooting system functionality. The engineer will work with device-to-cloud interfaces, low-level hardware controllers (motors, robots, sensors), and collaborate cross-functionally while mentoring junior engineers. Required skills include C/C++/C#/Python (.NET preferred), embedded systems design, build systems, unit testing, networking, Unix/Windows, and Jira/Confluence.
