Summary
Network Engineer IV supporting Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific will engineer, configure, and sustain advanced network infrastructure including Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba platforms across NIWC labs, shore facilities, and deployed environments. Responsibilities include end-to-end system lifecycle management (staging, integration, testing, fielding, sustainment), secure network architecture implementation aligned with RMF and STIGs, system hardening and vulnerability remediation, and field deployment with minimal supervision. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with Juniper (Junos OS, EX/QFX/SRX), Aruba (ArubaOS, wireless), and Cisco (Catalyst, ISR, ASA/Firepower); strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 technologies, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPNs, ACLs, and RADIUS authentication; and DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (Security+ CE minimum) plus vendor certifications (JNCIA/CCNA or higher). U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance required.
