Network Engineer

Summary

SAIC seeks a Network Engineer to provide break/fix IT support and cybersecurity remediation for U.S. Navy afloat networks in Norfolk, VA, working directly with Active Duty personnel aboard ships. The role requires administering Cisco switches/routers, Windows Server, and Linux systems while performing root cause analysis on LAN issues, executing patching and vulnerability remediation, and troubleshooting servers, networks, desktops, and peripherals in a fast-paced shipboard environment. The engineer will participate in technical meetings, deliver briefs, and support both onsite and remote troubleshooting. An active Secret clearance, DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+), and an operating system certification (CCNA, Microsoft Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Linux+, or equivalent) are required.
