Summary

This is a dual-role position: 80% technical embedded software engineer and 20% people manager overseeing 10–15 software engineers and managers in communications systems development (F-22, F-35, fighter networks). The candidate will lead direct reports on staffing, performance reviews, career development, and compensation while also serving as an individual contributor on real-time embedded applications, low-level firmware, secure systems, and communication/networking protocols. Required background includes a BS + 8 years (or MS + 6 years) in a STEM field, hands-on proficiency in C/C++, object-oriented programming, software lifecycle processes, and prior experience as a functional manager or technical team leader.
