Business Applications Developer

Summary

This role oversees governance and quality of business applications developed by citizen developers and AI-assisted tools at a mechanical contracting firm. The developer will review applications, automations, and integrations for security, architecture, performance, and maintainability; establish intake and deployment standards; provide technical guidance to non-developers; and mentor IT staff. The position requires 3+ years of professional development experience, strong knowledge of web application architecture, relational databases (SQL Server), APIs, Git, and code review skills, with preferred experience in Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate, and C# / .NET / Azure.
