As Principal Engineer for Domain Knowledge at Teradata, you will architect and lead the development of AI-powered data discovery platforms that leverage LLMs, semantic understanding, and agentic workflows to help enterprises identify and consume trusted data assets. You'll design retrieval frameworks, metadata enrichment systems, and conversational discovery experiences while serving as principal architect and thought leader across multiple engineering organizations.… The role requires 12+ years building large-scale data platforms and 5+ years leading enterprise data catalog or metadata management implementations, with deep expertise in metadata systems, distributed systems, cloud platforms, search technologies (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr), and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric). You will mentor senior engineers, drive architecture reviews, and influence long-term platform investments across the metadata ecosystem.
