You will translate customer, market, regulatory, and engineering inputs into clear product requirements, system-level specifications, and lifecycle plans. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and quality teams to ensure products meet technical requirements, financial objectives, and manufacturability expectations. You will define technical requirements, conduct competitive analysis, support pricing and configuration decisions, manage product lifecycle, and serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned embedded computing product lines.

Senior Staff Software Engineer role at Qualcomm focused on power and thermal management for next-generation ARM-based data-center server platforms. You will analyze system-level use cases, optimize DVFS and power-limiting mechanisms, develop algorithms to reduce power consumption, and perform system-level optimizations using hardware and software techniques. The role requires 6+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent with advanced degree), 3+ years with C, C++, Java, or Python, and preferred expertise in power/performance measurement, ARM architecture, SoC design, Linux, real-time operating systems, and device drivers.
