Field/Base Network Engineer managing large technical teams and Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) operations under the SMIT contract. As an Associate Software Engineer on the Digital Product Development team, you will participate in full-stack, full-cycle product development for cloud-native applications and IoT device lifecycle management platforms. You'll design, develop, and deploy web applications and services using languages like Java, React, and JavaScript, with emphasis on PaaS/IaaS, serverless services, and container technology. Responsibilities include code reviews, CI/CD pipeline development, automated testing, and building reliable, scalable cloud-native applications following security best practices. The role requires solid technical acumen, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Build and maintain software tools for automating deployment and testing of compute infrastructure while scaling critical services to support customer growth. Apply test-driven development principles and work toward continuous delivery goals. Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools and technologies. Requires 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a Master's degree) with strong Python and Linux systems architecture skills, hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, configuration management with Puppet, and understanding of Kubernetes and Docker containerization.

This role provides Tier 2 technical support for Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications in a classified DoD environment. The administrator will configure and maintain operating systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support distributed systems (Hadoop, Kafka, HBase/Accumulo, Spark), and utilize automation tools including Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security requirements, collaborating with engineering and cybersecurity teams, and documenting technical procedures. An active TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I certification are required.
