Senior Software QA Engineer responsible for validating Firestorm's avionics platform—embedded Linux and RTOS flight computers, drivers, middleware, and safety-critical interfaces. Will design and execute risk-based test strategies (feature, exploratory, regression, acceptance) across HIL/SIL rigs, build Python-driven automation for serial/CAN/Ethernet I/O and fault injection, and instrument diagnostics to isolate timing and state issues before Flight Test. Expected to own system testing end-to-end, validate robustness under degraded conditions (jitter, packet loss, brownouts, watchdog resets), and collaborate with avionics, autonomy, radio, and payload teams to harden reliability on aircraft.

Senior Software QA Engineer to own system testing for Firestorm's avionics platform—embedded Linux and RTOS flight computers, board support packages, device drivers, and safety-critical data paths. You will design and execute risk-based test strategies (feature/bring-up, exploratory, regression, acceptance) and build automation across HIL/SIL rigs exercising real buses (CAN/CAN-FD, UART, SPI, I²C, Ethernet) and links (MAVLink, Tactical Data Links) under fault conditions. You will instrument diagnostics, triage defects, and harden robustness for timing, jitter, packet loss, brownouts, and recovery paths before Flight Test. This is a full-time onsite role in San Diego requiring hands-on bench work with flight computers, power systems, radios, and sensors.
