Lead software development for an FDA-cleared blood testing platform, overseeing instrument software, application software, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity, and software quality systems. Manage the full software development lifecycle including requirements, risk management, design controls, verification and validation, and regulatory compliance. Work closely with Quality and Regulatory Affairs on FDA submissions, audits, documentation, and post-market support. Direct strategy, roadmap planning, architecture, and release management for a regulated in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical device.
As a Product Security Engineer 3, you will monitor industry cybersecurity threats and assess their risk to Hologic's diagnostic products, perform vulnerability assessments and security testing, and collaborate with software engineers and field service teams to implement security requirements and qualify networked medical devices. You will develop and automate test procedures for OS patches and anti-virus software, troubleshoot security and network issues in computer-based products, and educate internal teams on network security topics. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4–8 years of experience in computer/network security, Windows and Linux administration, and cybersecurity risk assessment, preferably with medical device or healthcare industry background.
