The Business Technology Consultant is an outside sales role responsible for generating new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and consultative selling within an assigned territory. The role involves presenting technology solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales while maintaining CRM records and coordinating with internal departments for implementation. Success requires balancing 75%+ field travel, managing a sales pipeline, building customer relationships, and consistently meeting monthly and quarterly sales and gross profit targets.

Lead and oversee cross-functional teams delivering large-scale data center power distribution and utility engineering projects across the full lifecycle—from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, and commissioning. Manage multiple concurrent projects involving distribution lines, grid infrastructure upgrades, and electrical substations, with responsibility for budgets, schedules, cost control, resource allocation, and compliance with utility standards (NERC, IEEE, NEC) and safety protocols. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans; perform margin analysis and risk assessments; and coordinate contract negotiations and stakeholder meetings with utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
