Design and optimize video analysis and quality assessment algorithms for next-generation video codec hardware accelerators (FPGA/ASIC). Implement C-models and firmware for advanced video encoding, collaborating across algorithm, architecture, software, and hardware teams. Apply machine learning techniques including deep learning frameworks and transformer architectures for ROI detection, content understanding, and feature extraction. Integrate algorithms into production VOD/live streaming workflows and validate impact through A/B testing and objective quality metrics (VMAF, PSNR, SSIM).

Staff-level RF control software engineer responsible for designing and implementing software abstraction layers that support diverse radio hardware configurations on common protocol stacks. Designs test mode interfaces for hardware characterization and RF performance tuning, and optimizes device control transactions for multi-RAT, multi-SIM, and concurrent radio operations. Applies expertise in antenna concepts, signal characterization, and RF component control (amplifiers, oscillators, frequency synthesizers, mixers, switches, sensors). Collaborates across ASIC design, modem/RF systems, systems test, hardware, and firmware teams while providing technical leadership at design reviews.

Develop C-models and firmware for real-time video processing, implementing algorithms for ROI detection, content understanding, frame-level rate control, and objective quality metrics. Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to integrate algorithms into production VOD and live-streaming workflows, validate performance through A/B testing, and optimize end-to-end video quality. The role requires strong programming skills in C/C++ or Python, knowledge of video quality standards (VMAF, PSNR, SSIM), and ideally experience with deep learning frameworks, video codecs, or embedded real-time systems.

Develop bare-metal firmware and low-level device drivers for Qualcomm reference platforms, focusing on hardware bring-up, validation, and early platform enablement. Work directly with hardware and silicon teams to debug SoC peripherals, implement test firmware, and resolve hardware/software integration issues using lab instrumentation and debug tools. Design and maintain register-level software for a wide range of integrated peripherals including memory, displays, cameras, RF transceivers, and communication interfaces. Requires deep expertise in embedded systems, processor architectures, and hardware protocols with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
